Geyermann’s old store has had a long journey as to time, but it has traveled over four hundred feet. The removal commenced a week ago Monday, and it has been under way ever since, until yesterday it reached its destination on Lot 8 in Block 24.

The sidewalk crossings on the Omaha tracks east of Lewis street have been neatly planked, the four inch timbers used bringing the walk up flush with the rails. The improvement is very noticeable, and it is to be hoped that the good work will be continued until all the crossings on both the Omaha and Milwaukee lines shall be equally as presentable.

Shakopee Ave. Recommended for Route of New Road
The joint committee representing the Commercial club and city council viewed the proposed routes of the Shakopee-Spring Lake road at the point where this road enters Shakopee last Friday.
After completing the survey the committee decided to recommend to the county board at its next meeting, that the road be routed on Shakopee avenue to Holmes street, making a wide turn on the McGrade estate onto Shakopee avenue. This route will also require the construction of a wide turn at the L. H. Henrionette corner entering Holmes street.

N. D. Man Buys Pontiac Agency From Miklethun
Will C. Robbins, formerly of Bismarck, N. D., this week purchased the Pontiac automobile agency in Shakopee.
The agency, which has been operated by L. M. Miklethun for the last three years, will be carried on at the same location at 221 E. First St. Robbins said he will handle refrigerators, radios and television sets and farm machinery…

Working ‘Round The Clock To Supply Bread
If Shakopee residents aren’t getting bread during the current Twin City bakery strike, it is certainly not the fault of the Elmer Dahl family, operators of the Valley Bakery.
Since the strike started a week ago Thursday, the Valley Bakery has been operating 23 hours out of every 24 in an effort to supply local people with bread. And they have been succeeding rather well, as evidenced by the throngs of eager buyers in the bakery during retail store hours…
